I aim new to Ubuntu coming from Fedora 14-LXDE.
I tried first Lubuntu 11.10 and now I have peppermint two on my acer aspire one L110 Z5; 512MBRAM; 8GB SSD; yesterday under peppermint I upgraded the base OS, which was LUBUNTU 11.04 to 11.10 With LUBUNTU 11.04 Thunderbird worked well.
However, with LUBUNTU 11.10 either as OS or under peppermint environment it stopped working.
I'm french user of lubuntu, sorry for my poor english.
I try to install lubuntu quantal on sony vaio vpcyb1s1e. I can try lubuntu with usb-key. I can install lubuntu quantal. When it's finished, i reboot and lubuntu starts but stops in starter panel.
perhaps a X pb?
(lubuntu 12.04 works without problems)

Recently I connected a USB mouse and since the touch pad on the laptop has stopped working with or with out the USB mouse. The two buttons are working. I have referenced a following post but have not been able to find a solution.

Hi guys, I am having some problems with my wifi suddenly stopped working. I've spent a couple of days trying out every solution I've come over, but I'm starting to feel like that Einstein quote about insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
So I just got an invite for the steam beta. I switched to Lubuntu about a month ago and I have made it my default version. I ended up reinstalling the thing from scratch and now I don't have any other GUI on my linux installation. So I was wondering how do I install the ati drivers on Lubuntu.
