Lubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 has also been announced by Canonical, on September 27th, after the release of Ubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 (Quantal Quetzal).
There are almost no details on the new Lubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 (Quantal Quetzal), with the exemption of a major bug that got fixed at the last moment.
The installation was completed successfully, but it failed to boot properly afterwards.
Hi,
I have the following problem: the installation of Lubuntu 12.10 stops in the second step. What is? The second step is where it says you are connected to the Internet, the disk space you have and present the options to selected third-party downloads and/or restricted.

Hi there, I am just wondering if it is possible to do an OEM Install of Lubuntu 12.04 since I need to prepare an old laptop for a new home.
I have followed this guide and downloaded a Lubuntu 12.04 alternate CD. Unfortunately, this guide is fairly outdated and I can no longer see the option to "Prepare for end-user configuration".
Hi Guys,
Just looking for someone who runs LUBUNTU all the time.. I have a question...
I have a very old DELL Optiplex gx280 and was running XUBUNTU it has 512 mb ram and 40 gig hardrive..
I noticed on xu.... It would try to lock up so I did an in place upgrade (( SUDO APT-GET INSTALL LUBUNTU-DESKTOP ) and so far so well...
Just wondering.. Is Lubuntu safe for use full time?
I'm planning to install Lubuntu 12.10 (32-bit) on the following PC. Will it work or is the hardware too old?
CPU: Intel Celeron 2.0GHz
RAM: 512MB
GPU: GeForce 4 MX 440 with AGP8x
I'm especially worried that the GPU won't have drivers. The computer is used by my parents to surf the web, so if it can play Flash video, everything is fine.
I've heard that Lubuntu consumes less resources than Ubuntu. Is it because of the fact that Lubuntu uses different desktop environment and window manager?
If so, would it be equivalent to install lubuntu-desktop on top of Ubuntu rather than doing a fresh install?
I have tried twice to install Lubuntu 12.04 on my Asus 900 netbook. I did it using the lubuntu-12.04-alternate-i386.iso image, which I put on a USB stick using UNetbootin. I ran the install twice, once connected to internet and once not.
