[lubuntu] PCMANFM 0.9.10 Can't Refresh Samba Share

http://ubuntuforums.org – Lubuntu 12.04/ASUS EEE 900 I've noticed that while PCMANFM can handily access a smb share, when working within that samba directory, changes aren't noted on the screen until F5 is used. Googling tells me this could be a problem from an updated glib lib, but there's nothing definitive. PCMANFM versions are up to 1.*, but not yet available in the software repository. I am probably not the first person with this problem, I have hunted around for a solution but had no luck finding an answer. I am using lubuntu 12.10 fully updated.

pcmanfm will not launch from the shortcut in the menu. Code: pcmanfm %U entered in a terminal also does nothing. Code: pcmanfm /home/username works. All help greatly appreciated.

PCmanFM is not accessible.

My lubuntu desktop has become unusable: the normal desktop, handled (i think) by pcmanfm was replaced by an empty one, while pcmanfm became unstable: first used 100% of cpu, then would not be accessible at all, despite the fact that it is runing.

I have installed LXDE beside lubuntu-desktop and for a while in lxde all looked normal, but after several logins/logouts the

I seem to have some problems with pcmanfm (openbox took over my desktop) and I would like to reinstall in Synaptic but it says it wants to remove (reinstall eventually) lubuntu-core, lubuntu-default settings and lubuntu-desktop. Is that safe?

After installing lxde and lxde-core, uninstalling pcmanfm involves removing them too.

I installed Lubuntu and noticed there were no video file thumbnails in the file manager, pcmanfm. I did some poking around and it looked like some people were saying because of some changes in Gnome 3, pcmanfm wasn't able to create video thumbnails anymore.

So, I installed nautalis, using it with the --no-desktop option, but it also wouldn't give me any video thumbnails.

Lxde (+ wheezy powerpc) here, pcmanfm 0.9.10. When i right click in pcmanfm on a file or a folder and then choose "properties" nothing happens.
