I'd like for the computer to shut down without the need for confirmation when the power source changes to battery.
My Asus Eee Pc 1225C has gotten issues with the battery since I downloaded a set of updates for Lubuntu 12.10 some two weeks back. The major issue is that the battery will no recharge at all when the laptop is sleeping, for example with the lid down, but when it is on or completely shut down it charges the battery no problem.
I recently upgraded from 10.04 to 12.04 Precise (first point release) on my laptop (an MSI machine). I've resolved several minor issues but can't figure one out and have searched hear and on google to no avail (hope I didn't miss a post somewhere).
Here is the problem I am facing:

Like many, I've had battery life issues with my skyrocket. I've noticed that sometimes my phone gets hot. The heating of the phone coincides with an icon appearing on the icon line that has the 4G with the little "wave" lines. Per the user manual this icon means: "Displays when the phone is communicating with the UTMS, HSDPA, HSPA, or HSPA+ network".
Hello, I've go 5,2 Macbook & using both OSX & Ubuntu. That was a bitt difficult for me toı install Ubuntu first time. But at the end, I've managed to installed 10.04 - 10.10 & 11.04 without any problem. But When installing, i needed to use acpi=off command. If I don't use it my screen went black.
Anyway, after installed Ubuntu, I've realized my battery doesnt' show.

Hey, I'm new to any form of Linux, so forgive any stupidities/failures I make. I made an account on here specifically for this issue. I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but here I go!
I have found an old Compaq Presario 2500, with 191 MB of ram, 2.6 GHz Celeron processor. It ran Windows XP, but I have wiped the drive to install Lubuntu.
Recently I began having some issues with my nc8000's battery usage.
