I am trying to install lubuntu onto an LG laptop model LS50e (quite old!) It has a Celeron M Processor 1.5GHz, 40GB hard drive and 238(?)MB RAM.
I boot from the CD and (after the gfxboot error), the "trial" screen comes up.
All is good so far..
When I press the "Install Lubuntu 12.10" button, the machine goes off and seems to try to install the program.
i tried to install lubuntu on an old laptop and it restarts when i click "Install Lubuntu" or try it from the cd, why is this happening?
FYI 300MHz Processor 256 MB RAM (Half is defective)

In (Lubuntu > Preferences > Monitor settings) there is only resolution available, I can't change color profiles or brightness.
How can I calibrate my monitor in lubuntu (with GUI preferably)?

Hello everyone.
I'm having some difficulty with getting my printer to work with Lubuntu 12.04 Precise. In Ubuntu it's pretty easy, if long winded, just following the instructions from http://hplipopensource.com
I have done exactly the same in Lubuntu, and given lack of any other choice, when the instructions ask what Linux distribution I'm using I gave it Ubuntu.
My lenovo laptop running lubuntu can't connect to wireless.
Hi!
Just today, I "downgraded" from Gnome Classic to Lubuntu (after previously "downgrading" from awful Unity) & am very pleased with both moves...
After only a couple of hours, I have nearly everything how I want it (took weeks in Classic & impossible in Unity).
Obviously, I don't expect "little" Lubuntu to do everything its big brothers can do (though e
