I'm on Ubuntu 11.04 32-bit with Nautilus 2.32.2.1, and I've been experiencing random Nautilus crashes for several months.
I'm not too sure where this problem is and what's causing it. I'm putting it down to Nautilus.
I have a Ubuntu 10.10 desktop. I use it to connect to my file server which runs BSD. I usually just mount the SMB share in Nautilus and go from there.
Since the last big Gnome3 upgrade, nautilus seems to have a problem here with mounted samba shares. If I use nautilus smb:// method, it works great. But if I use the mount -t cifs // method, nautilus crashes with a segmentation fault.Anyone else have this problem? Any known fix or work around? Any help would be appreciated.--Theoden

I want to drag a file from Nautilus to Brasero in Ubuntu 12.04 when both windows are open.
The only way to do it that I know currently is to maximize Brasero and left the Nautilus open (but not minimized) and so I can drag the file to the window that it is below, but I wonder if there is a more quick way to do it.
Thanks for your help!
This tutorial will explain how to mount files from nautilus’ right-click context menu. A mount option integrated into Nautilus’ context menu will make mounting files easier than before.
File mounter is an open-source program to mount files on Linux/Ubuntu/Super OS (still in beta).
Ubuntu 12.10.
Every other thread on this seems to be outdated.
I plugged a harddrive into my router. Ubuntu can mount and read/write to it just fine. Perfect.
I can use Gigolo to mount this at bootup.
in any case, I have my folder booting up and I can browse it with Nautilus.
BUT I WANT TO CREATE A SYMLINK to this folder or MOUNT IT IN A SPECIFIED LOCATION.
It’s quite easy to get access to Image files without burning them using Furius ISO mount, with application you are able to mount these files ” ISO, IMG, BIN, MDF and NRG ” it’s completely simple GUI “ Graphical User Interface ” , automatically add a mount point for the selected image file.
In my nautilus, I have this annoying drive labeled "Ubuntu 12.10 i386" and when you click on it, it gives the 'cannot mount' error. With a little GParted research, I found out that its the Extended partition containing the SWAP partition. Since it's obviously not of any use to nautilus, how do I make it stop showing up as an unmounted drive, or at least hide it?

1 td% nautilus &
[1] 9847
2 td% Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
And then I quit nautilus.
The thing is, though, that putting the & operator at the end of nautilus, I'm supposed to be able to enter new commands after I close (or 'X' out of) the nautilus window.
