When I watch a movie, the screen turns off after about 20 min.
To make it turned on, I changed the setting in the Xfce Power Manager as "never" for both display sleep and display switch off, with no help.
Is there any other ways that I can disable auto turn off function on the display in Lubuntu?
Been using Lubuntu 12.04 for a while, works great except for one small bug. Everytime I open the lid of my laptop from sleep, it automatically opens my SD Card folder. I have a dead harddrive, so I am booting from an 8GB USB stick and added an 8GB SD card for extra storage.
Upgraded to Xubuntu 13.10 recently and noticed that when I put my Dell D620 laptop to sleep/hibernate (closed lid) the laptop display & configure settings & layout pop up appears? This doesn't happen if I activate hibernate/suspend from the menu just when I close the lid........any ideas anyone??
When I wake up the computer from sleep mode, Lubuntu 13.10 32 bits shows this message at the top right corner of the screen: the network has been shut (It is a translation). And I must reboot the computer to get access to internet.
This app helps you sleep better. Sleep as Android is an accelerometer-based sleep cycle tracker app that includes a nice assortment of helpful sleep aids, including lullaby mode, sleep noise recording, lucid dreaming detection audio and a captcha test to see if you are actually awake. Perhaps even more intriguing is that based on your sleep cycles, it knows just the right time to wake you up.
