hi everyone, just installed lubuntu on my laptop, i'm trying to add a vpn connection, but it is locked tried giving myself administrator rights but after that still cann't, how do i do ? thank you !
Yesterday we installed Lubuntu on our old mac. We performed a full clean-up and the installation succeeded. There's only one issue that we have, we can't use the airport anymore to make a wireless internet connection (or use the wireless mouse as other example).
I'm using Lubuntu 13.04. Yesterday I managed to create a dsl connection and everything was working fine. Today, when I started my computer, by some reason, the dsl and wired connection options have disappeared from the network manager.
I don't really know what other info should I give, so if you need some information, please just ask for it. :)
I've recently installed Ubuntu, but it was running too slow on my computer and I installed the lubuntu-core package through the Synaptic Manager. So now I'm using Lubuntu (sorry but I am a complete newbie and don't know how to check its version).
Anyway, my wifi connection speed is much slower now than it was on Windows.
Hi there I am experiencing a very strange problem with my Ethernet connection. Lubuntu isn't connecting to the Internet. The computer is showing up connected on the router configuration page. Lubuntu also detects that it is connected to my network but when I try accessing anything online it doesn't work.
OK, I have installed lubuntu 12.04 on an old tower, having got rid of the (expletive) Windows XP OS. Hooray for that step. I made sure to do all the updates (400 of them) while connected to the hard line but the normal location for the PC requires wireless connection.
I've just installed Lubuntu 12.10 on an old laptop (IBM ThinkPad 600X). However, after booting Lubuntu, everything looks like in negative (eg. colors are inverted, like there's some assistive technology enabled).
During installation (using alternative installer), colors were OK. Before installing Lubuntu, I had windows installed, it was showing colors OK as well.
I´ve installed Lubuntu-Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on my older laptop (Acer TravelMate, 512 MB RAM) and everything worked fine until I got to the removing of the boot dvd from the drive and to restart - nothing happens, I just see the Lubuntu screen with the five dots. I was waiting for 10 or 15 minutes, than I forced the PC to turn off.
I have a question regarding wireless internet usage by Lubuntu. I have Lubuntu 13.04 32bit installed in my Samsung NF-NP310 netbook. I'm not sure about its wireless card model, but this is the problem:
When I start using lubuntu with my wireless network, it seems to screw up the connection to my other devices.
