Hi,
I am using xubuntu 10 installed.
I have intel graphics card with capacity of screen resolution upto 1366x768
The resolution i am getting is 1024x768
lcpsi:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0126 (rev 09)
I have tried to sort out /etc/x11/xorg.conf, but this file is not in the x11 folder.
Is there a problem with patching of kernel with KMS or what is the solution?
Hi,
I am using Xubuntu 12.10, and just like Ubuntu 12.04.1, it can't use 1280x1024 which is my monitor's resolution. How do I fix it?
I have Intel 82865g integrated graphics.
I'd happily supply more needed details.
Thanks!
Hi there everyone, can anyone [i]genuinely[i]help? I love ubuntu, but cannot use due to intel 815 graphic issues. i only get 600x800 resolution. i install other non ubuntu distro's and i get my full 1024x768 resolution. Looking at all posts this seems to be a massive issue with ubuntu, some things we can live with but poor resolution is something that is difficult for most.
ok so for starters, im using BT5R3, no probs.
i have an EEE pc 1005HAB and it has a intel GMA 950 chipset.
my primary laptop monitor's resolution is 1024x600, works no problem.
my secondary monitor which is to the right of monitor0, is running at 1024x768.
the problem is, my 2nd monitors native resolution is 1600x1200.
okay i installed a fresh copy of ubuntu 12.10 but the problem is that it doesnt recognize my monitor which is LG E1942....
i have a dell mini 10 and ubuntu does not detect the display. when i go into
System=>preferences=>Display
is says the display is unknown.
now it has 1024x768 resolution but it is made for 1366x768.
I have 2 monitors. On the left I have a Dell 1704FPT and on the right I have a Dell E177FP.
I installed a copy of BackTrack 5 R2 (Ubuntu 10.04) to my HDD and dual-booted with Windows 7. After a bit of tweaking I set about updating the native Intel drivers because it was only allowing me to choose between 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions and I have a widescreen laptop.
Uninstalled current drivers, added the new repository, and updated the latest Intel drivers. Start X and voila!
for whatever reason my TV via VGA tells my g7-1070us laptop that its max resolution is 1024x768. I somehow doubt this from the level of blurriness when I set it to this max resolution. I'd like to override this via xrandr but I don't know what the actual max resolution of the TV is. I've tried some random resolutions like 1366x760 but I often get a black screen when I try.
