Hello friends,Yesterday I purchased a notebook computer - Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook - and I am a little confused about one of the advices given to me by the person who handled the sale at the computer store. He gave me intructions on how to charge and maintain the battery.
I know traditionally you were supposed ti have let phone batteries for out and then charge them to 100% in order to avoid damaging tge battery life. But as i understand it, lithium ion batteries are different. I read that letting these phones loose all charge damages the battery.
So my question is, should i charge randomly throughout the day in my car, by a computer, ect.
I can't tell if I have an Ubuntu problem or a hardware problem, but there is certainly some sort of problem.
i bought this phone yesterday i mean i started to use when i first time charge it was %30 i keep charge it full till evening now i always keep it charge whenever get chance what im asking is how to use battery to keep it charge everytime or charge it once till %100 then finish and charge again
My battery (HP dv5-1251nr) will not charge. It will not even charge while running the Ubuntu live disc, but does charge when the computer is off or on Windows (I dual boot)... ideas?
I've just downloaded and flashed the latest CM10 ROM. I must say it's fantastic. A big thank you to the developers. I thought I'd report a few bugs that I found/ stuff that I felt was lacking.
Major problem: this thing doesn't report the battery charge properly. The phone didn't look like it was going to die, but it suddenly did. When I connected it to charge, it said 5%.
I just bought new battery and it's my 3rd time buying my ac adapter. my ac adapter always get extremly hot and when my laptop battery is going low it take about 2 hours to charge it back up to 100%. Usually it takes less thant 40 minute to charge it back to full charge. Anyone knows what's wonrg.
Hello, I'm new to Linux (running 9.04) and this is my first time posting on these forums.
Dear all,
i'm experiencing my laptop battery's lifespan is degraded. (my laptop is IBM T60)
i just changed OS from WinXP to Ubuntu 9.10 a couple of weeks ago.
Since then my laptop can sustain only less than 30 mins (from approx. 2 hrs with WinXP)
Here is the battery detail.
