Losing static IP address

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I have an Ubuntu Server 10.04.1 that I have given a static IP address. Every six hours or so I will lose connectivity to it and when I type ifconfig to look at the network information, it has been given an address via dhcp. If I run the /etc/init.d/networking restart command the IP address goes back to my static address and things are fine for another 6 hours or so. Here is what is in my interfaces file: auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 10.60.82.15 netmask 255.255.0.0 broadcast 10.60.255.255 gateway 10.60.254.254 This machine is also a DHCP server and (HowTos)
