Has anyone been able to disable long sms splitting in the default cm10.1 mms app? While sms split works fine, I would rather have the app combine up to three sms messages into a longer psuedo-sms that appears as one block. Also, I tand that after three messages the text is typically converted to an mms. This is not working. My long messages seemingly split into infinitely many parts.
I have texted a specific person for a while and we have ~ 10,000 texts in the conversation, this causes my phone to get really slow while opening the conversation and while trying to type in the conversation, I don't want to delete any of the texts. Is there any way to limit the number of messages being loaded while opening the conversation?

Okay, so there's a group of friends I have - 3 of them have iPhones, and one has a Blackberry. 1 iPhone and the Blackberry are Verizon, the other 2 iPhones are AT&T.

My Thunderbolt does not receive large SMS in either the Handcent App, (I had to download Handcent because the stock texting app on my T-bolt would send my texts to whomever it wanted to and not my intended recipient), or the stock app. It only accepts texts with about 160 characters or less and doesn't split larger texts into 2+ messages.
Hello, I am trying the Chomp SMS app and one feature I am interested in is group texting. Once I installed the app, I tried to send a group message and I noticed 2 things
1. when I sent the message, duplicate messages were sent to each person. For example, I sent a group message to 2 people and when I sent it 2 duplicate messages show in the conversation window.

Help! I kept getting an error message while trying to read a new text. Error message read: process com.Android.mms. I went looking for an answer.
Found a profile update available so I loaded it. Still got error message.
Tried soft reset. Still got error message.
Moved contacts to SD card. still got error message, then blank screen for messages.
Now, all old text messages gone!
I am trying to show all instances of a particular message from the syslog in chronological order by doing something like the following:

Unfortunately the glob pattern matches the currently active file first.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 about three weeks ago. Immediately I was plagued by problems of receiving text messages late, and in large clumps -- sometimes 6 or 7 messages were received at the same time. When people called me, I wouldn't receive their message until I saw that I had tons of new voicemails about an hour after they called.
