It is possible for a script to shut down or log off, make a sound I want, such as Windows 95, Millennium or 2000
even if it was possible with the new 11.10 but the 12.04 does not emit any sound at shutdown
and its system is much better than mac and virus' windows ¡keep it up!
one more thing.
can I leave my system as Mac OS 9
is that strikes me Mac OS 9.
Icons, Sounds, GTK theme, all as Mac
when i installed ubuntu from a disc it was 9.10 karmic then upgraded to 10.04, at first there was sound then after a day or two, there was no sound. help. i went into sound settings and it wasnt muted or anything.
As the in built sound card on my laptop (an ergo microlite 411) died, I got a replacement usb sound card, an Aureon Dual from Terratec, which is meant to be compatible. So far I've managed to get the laptop to acknowledge the presence of the sound card when plugged in, but there's no sound coming out? Any suggestions? I've been trying to fix this on an insomnia kick, but no joy.
I upgraded to the latest ubuntu version, karmic cola and every since I have had trouble with my sound. I have a Toshiba Tecra and my sound worked with the last version of ubuntu but every since I upgraded the sound has been glitchy. It started with just having trouble when I let it hibernate.
so I have successfully set up my Envy 15 for Ubuntu 12.04 except for the sound, anyone have any ideas about how to get it working? I had to add blacklist snd-usb-audio to my alsa to stop pulseaudio from freezing on login and logout, but now no sound plays. Could anyone provide me some guidance?
