Hi, I cannot find an updated driver for a webcam Logitech Quickcam E 2500 webcam. It doesn't work with Cheese nor does it work with Skype. I'm using Lubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have tried the packages qc-usb-utils (utility programs for the QuickCam Express driver) & qc-usb-source (source for the QuickCam Express driver) without a result.
Hi,
I searched on google and confirmed that ubuntu version 7.x worked with my webcam using the gspca. The hardware ID is 0x092E.
However, my current ubuntu version of 9.1 doesn't work. Both Cheese, and a webcam test website doesn't detect my webcam at all. The webcam LED just stays on all the time.
I'm not too sure where to go from here.
Hello.
My logitech quickcam camera ID: 046d:0850
is neither detected by emesene nor by cheese.[I want it to be detected by EMESENE]
Many tutorials I've found are old or for the ID: 046d:08f6
In the app. camorama the camera IS detected somehow.
What should I do to get it working?
Hi,
I am new to Ubuntu and this community. I have installed KDE and using it more than Unity. But however, i need the step by step installation guide for installing my Webcam.
It is a Logitech Quickcam Messenger (Model V-UAS14).
Compaq Presario 1429UK with Ub 12.10. 32 bit + Logitec Quick Cam Messenger.
Works fine in Cheese. Cannot get cam to work in Skype. In skype>options>video devices there is just a black box where l should see a picture.

On earlier versions of OpenSUSE, i got this webcam to work with V4L-driver.
But now i run OpenSUSE 11.2 on kernel 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop (64bits) and i can't get it to work.
Last week I got a newer kernel via Yast -> Online Update.
Since then, my Logitech webcam does not work anymore.
Neither with Skype or Kopete.
After starting skype, the output of dmesg is:
gspca: bandwidth not wide enough - trying again

When I unplug the webcam and plug it into another USB-port and start skype again,
it works most of the t
I am using ASUS Eee PC 901 with Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix.
I am a rookie of Ubuntu and Linux.
I used Ubuntu since last November, I found it very cool and fast and stable.
But lately I am facing a problem of my Eee PC 901 internal webcam,
it goes black and white once day and the color never come back.
I've latest ArchLinux installed with v4l-utils 0.8.8-1 and gspca_zc3xx webcam driver v2.13.0 . The driver is installed as a kernel module, and I can detail it with modinfo gspca_zc3xx command. This driver version is now outdated, and it doesn't support correctly Auto Gain and Exposure controls in my webcam Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX.
