Out of the box, this Logitech M325 mouse works great with one issue: cannot use the scroll wheel for horizontal scrolling. It acts as forward or back in the browsers or does nothing in other windows.
Logitech has unleashed a new wireless mouse in Australia, the M325, which boasts a precision scroll wheel that allows you to jump forward and back through web pages and has much smoother scrolling than a normal mouse. Available today for $59.95.
I can't figure out how to adjust the behavior of the scrollwheel on my new mouse. It's a Logitech M325, which is basically just a newer version of what I had. On the old one tilting the wheel engaged horizontal scrolling. On the new one, it acts as a back/forward button. I'd prefer the scrolling behavior.
Does anyone know where I go to adjust this? Thanks!
But hasn't given me the answer. Just plugged in a mouse in 12.04 and there's no horizontal scrolling with the mousewheel. Instead it has strange behaviour where text is changed if mousewheel is held down and moved over it. HP mouse, feature works on windows 7.
I'm using a Logitech K750(keyboard) and M705(mouse) using the same (one!) unifying USB connector. I paired them with my mac, but use them on my desktop with Ubuntu 12.04.1. Works nice. Just a few adjustments I'd like to do.
I am trying a trust expert touch mouse at the moment, a mouse with a toch surface on top instead of buttons. It is supported very well out of the box, even the two finger gestures work as forward and back in firefox. But the mouse has a very poor horizontal scrolling, it works very slow.
I have just received a logitech trackball (T-BC21) and it all works fine out of the box except the wheel-scrolling emulation (the trackball doesn't have a wheel).
I had a good look around and came across a few sites.
I've enabled natural scrolling via Ubuntu Tweak's miscellaneous options, but that doesn't seem to take effect for horizontal scroll, neither in web browsers, nor in nautilus or other native applications.
Is there any way to enforce this behavior on horizontal scrolling as well?
