Login Wallpaper Spanning Dual Monitors in 12.04

I am using Dual Monitor and want to have only a "Background Color" on booth monitors.

But somehow the wallpaper on the 2nd monitor don't dissappear. When I select to use a wallpaper file, it is visible on booth monitors, it does not matter what I am doing like streching, center --> it works fine.

Running Nouveau driver on an nVidia GTS250 dual head card with 2560x1600 primary and 1920x1080 secondary displays connected. The login screen gets mirrored on both monitors at the lower of the two resolutions.

I know the desktop background wallpaper will also be displayed on the login screen. What would I need to set the login wallpaper separate from the desktop wallpaper? Thanks

My Ubuntu (12.10) login background keeps changing to whatever wallpaper I'm using...

I tried using Ubuntu Tweak to change the login background to the original (or any other background) but it doesn't work.

Have dual monitors, and, when using kde, the wallpaper on the right screen is solid blue and not Constantine like the left screen. When clicking the cashew on the left screen (I can't believe there's cashews for both screens) it seems the wallpaper is pointed to Constantine, although the Author space is blank (it says Fedora project on the left screen).

Nearly every time I bootup my Ubuntu I come to the login screen. But instead of showing me the wallpaper from selected account, I just see the default purple background with those white dots on it.

How I can change the GDM 3.6 Wallpaper? I dont mean the desktop background, but the Wallpaper at the login (GDM 3.6).

I figured out the Unlock . I changed my login wallpaper. When I logout/restart, it briefly displays the changed background, but fades to the desktop background.

Is there solution using a utility or folder shortcuts that would keep the active desktop wallpaper/background the same in KDE and Gnome/Unity. (Changing the background in one desktop would also change the other desktop's wallpaper)

I use both desktops because they both serve me better for different tasks, and i'd like to match LightDM login background for KDE as well.
