I'm currently a user of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS using the weather applet. I was wondering if the same applet will be available for Unity 12.04. Since Unity's existence with 11.04 & 11.10, you had to log into Gnome Classic to be able to add / use the applet. However I prefer Unity.

An application with a Russian UI shows question marks instead the most of its text (some elements are rendered ok though).

I have also checked that ttf-mscorefonts-installer is installed.

Put the current weather where it belongs: in Ubuntu’s panel. If Unity’s left you without your favorite weather panel applet, worry not: you can install an indicator applet that’s just as good, and in some ways better, to the antiquated Gnome weather applet of old.Okay, we get it: most of our commenters don’t like Ubuntu’s new Unity interface.
