http://crunchbang.org – Old thread, but new info. While peeking into the work of localepurge I noticed it wasn't cleaning out locale tt (which language is that?).  There is a bug in the grepping.  '^[ \t]*' is used to detect leading whitespace, but unfortunately all that detects is a combination of spaces, backslashes, and letter "t"s.  It needs to be corrected to '^[[:blank:]]*' to detect leading whitespace.  Just edit the script and change both instances.  Or live with the small tt locale (HowTos)
