Hi everyone, i have a small problem with wine, i updated to wine wine-1.5.12-3, now by default wine command is not working, i get:wine
-bash: /usr/local/bin/wine: No such file or directorySo i removed the old wine, and installed it again, but i still get the same ...
About a month ago I upgraded from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS and all is good. Except...
Yesterday I tried to launch one of my wine apps and it just wouldn't work. Hmmm? I thought. On much digging I discovered that wine was no longer installed so I tried to install it in the normal manner. Here's where the problems start!
Wine just will not install. It says 1.7 depends on 1.6.
I installed Wine 1.4 rc5. Later I realised that this wine won't work because there is no sound. I removed it using Synaptic Package Manager and installed Wine 1.2 which is the stable version of Ubuntu 10.04. Even though I install it. It's still showing Wine 1.4 rc-5. How can I remove wine 1.4-rc5 and install Wine 1.2 ?
I installed wine 64. Then I discovered that winetricks likes wine 32. I uninstalled all the wine packages that have 64 in the name. But I still can't seem to get things working right. Does anyone know how to completely wipe all the wine packages so I can do a fresh install of wine 32?
I have 2 Questions to any Linux or Ubuntu PRO here:
