I have two disks, SSD (Samsung 830 128GB) and normal HDD (WD 1TB) and Ubuntu 12.10 installed.AHCI set in the BIOS. I have a problem with extremly slow copying in all directions (Samsung->Samsung, WD->WD, WD->Samsung and Samsung->WD).
Recently my Debian Linux server has been experiencing slow web server response times.
I just installed a new Intel 330 60 GB SSD into my HP Mini 2140 laptop.
But it's not going as fast as expected and my hdparm results aren't looking very good compared to SSD benchmarks at:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SSD_Benchmarking
My results and info are below.
hdparm results:
justin@justin-HP-2140:~$ sudo hdparm -Tt /dev/sda
/dev/sda:

Hi,
I went to a computer store and the salesman sold me a SATA cable and told me that all SATA cables are the same. Another salesman at a different store told me a cable rated for SATA 2, which I bought, MIGHT work as well as one rate for SATA 3 but it is not guaranteed. I decided to run a speed test on my SSD drive to check the results.
I am having trouble resuming from hibernation using TuxOnIce method.
The thing works, but in a very strange manner. Here's how it looks:
1. Computer boots and finds resume image and starts resume. It reads image from disk (takes ~10 seconds)
Reading kernel & process data...
Atomic restore.
Doing atomic copy/restore.
2. Resume pauses for about ~30 seconds displaying above message.
