http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have just installed Fedora Core 4 on my 1 ghz. Pentium III machine with 256 MB RAM. I have got serial mouse on ttyS0 and dialup modem on ttyS1 I have modified my xorg.conf file for serial mouse using options. By default the kernel module serial_cs.ko is not installed. So, I am unable to access my mouse as well as modem. When I tried to give: modprobe -a serial* It gives me message warning module serial_cs.ko not found ! Even when I am in the serial directory. When I use insmod serial_cs.ko it gives error for unrecgnised symbol or something like that. In this regard, I have following questions : 1. How to load this particular module ? 2. I have listed some modules using lsmod. Where is the information stored to load modules at boot time ? ( rc.d /init.d ?) or some other file 3. I did not find modules.conf file. Where is it located ? 4. How does depmod works ? Please help to solve the problem. -mahesh_chavan (HowTos)
