livecd-creator problems in f-12-beta

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – livecd-creator problems in f-12-beta I have been unable to get a livecd-creator generated iso to boot either with qemu or by burning a cd or by using liveusb creator. I get the initial countdown startup screen and then a blank screen (or sometimes a dump). When I run liveusb-creator, it tells me the checksum fails at 33% and stops. My build environment is f-12-beta with updates applied from the rawhide repository. I have noticed that there are no references to f-12 in the cfg files in spin-kickstarts so maybe this was just copied from the f-11 release without adjustments. I also remember that there was some confusion caused earlier by the sha1 checksum algorithm being changed to sha256. Perhaps not everything was updated. Finally, what version of liveusb-creator is being used to create the f-12-beta-LIVE disks? They don't work either. Any ideas? Perazim (HowTos)

since yesterday I'm trying to create a proper USB boot media... (x64, BIOS with "UEFI supported" if I believe dmidecode, no secure boot).

I tried to use the Live Image, the DVD image and the "mnimal boot media". I tried to create it with Unetbootin, with liveusb-creator, livecd-tools and dd.

Sorry for naive question I'm trying to use livemedia-creator to do what was done in the past with command "livecd-creator -v --config=/usr/share/spin-kickstart/test.ks --fslabel=test" but can't figure out the sequence of parameters.

hi everyone i've download the .iso file and then create liveusb with "liveusb-creator" but in time of installation it does not booted -BIOS setting is fixed for removable first boot -i have windows 7 and ubuntu 12.4 in my computer (computer booted with grub) any idea?:confused:

I am trying to create a fedora usb stick fromo within F18 When In execute liveusb-creator the following is displayed:

I took a USB IDE hard drive and partitioned out a 20gb section formatted to fat32.

Then ran usb creator and it loaded onto the partition ok.

However, it does not boot, it tries, the light flashes on the drive, the monitor just blinks a cursor.

Should it work? 2nd shows gparted of the hard drive

I had to lower the persistance down to 3.5gb or usb creator gave checksum errors.
