Hi,
I would like to ask those with more experiences when re-installing M$ Vista crap.I do not want to reinstall my working Fedora 11. Do I have to backup my linux partitions?
How do I resurrect my linux bootloader then? With safe mode with Fedora DVD, right?
Are there any differences between Windows 7 dual boot with Fedora 11?
Hello all !
I am using Transcend 320GB HDD. And on my PC I've installed MS Windows XP.
Now I want to install Linux on my External HDD , which would not effect my XP's installation or its boot loader. Yeah, I wanna make my XP stand-alone OS.
I have both windows and linux run on same machine. In Windows, when I set parition C to main boot, I cannot use GRUB anymore. So, I decide to reinstall GRUB.
But, when I use Fedora live CD to boot. I don't see previous Linux parition. I juse see Windows partition.
Riddle me this:
Code:
# fdisk -l /dev/sdb
Disk /dev/sdb: 320.0 GB, 320072933376 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 &nb
Hi everyone!
I need a kernel higher than 2.6.20 and that supports 4 GB of memory.
