http://www.ubuntuvibes.com – SevenBits has written a new Mac Linux USB Loader tool that allows you to take an ISO of a Linux distribution and make it boot using EFI on Mac. It requires a single USB drive formatted as FAT with at least 2 GB free space. He says: Macs require booting via EFI, which for all intents and purposes is horrible on the Linux platform. The only real way to boot Linux via EFI is unfortunately by hacks: GRUB 2, the rudimentary and ubiquitous Linux boot loader used on practically every installation, has working but poor EFI support, and other software like ELILO is not mu (HowTos)

Debian if my first OS and i want to dual boot Fedora12 Ok i installed Fedora12 and choose not to install the bootloader(gonna use the one Debian installed) What i'm tring to do in Debain is edit my /boot/grub/menu.lst

Hi guys, decided to make the switch to #! last night and installed the 32-bit latest stable version to my mac mini.I'm not dual booting, #! is the only OS on my system now.When I boot the mac up I get a flashing folder with a question mark and no GRUB loader.I can get into #!

I would like to ask those with more experiences when re-installing M$ Vista crap.I do not want to reinstall my working Fedora 11. Do I have to backup my linux partitions?

Reinstall GRUB 27 weeks 6 days ago

I have both windows and linux run on same machine. In Windows, when I set parition C to main boot, I cannot use GRUB anymore. So, I decide to reinstall GRUB.

But, when I use Fedora live CD to boot. I don't see previous Linux parition. I juse see Windows partition.
