Cisco announced an updated line of Linksys wireless 802/11/b/g/n routers for the home market, including a Linux model. The E2100L Advanced Wireless-N Router with Linux OS offers four 10/100 Ethernet ports, a USB port, a UPnP AV Media Server, and like the other E-Series WiFi routers, provides new, m...
Hello, as a learning project I am building a Fedora Linux PC router which will integrate with two other Cisco 1841 routers.
I want to interconnect them via the serial interfaces of the Cisco routers . Cisco routers use WIC-1T or WIC-2T serial ports.
Has anyone done this before ?
If so, what sort of PCI card will I need to install in my Linux router box to enable this ?

I have the loopback cable connected from my server to the CISCO router. The router is connected to the router in the office with a crossover cable. It is connected to Lan port 4 (Linksys) and the cable is plugged in to the WAN port(CISCO).
Written by: Stuart CornerCisco has confirmed that users will not be obliged to activate the new Connect Cloud configuration feature of its new range of Linksys routers, following the huge furore that erupted when early users of the products found that their routers had been updated to support the feature without their knowledge.

I have a Linksys WAG320N Wireless N router and a Belkin Wireless N router. The Linksys is acting as a modem and DHCP server, and I want to set up the Belkin as an AP. Is there any reason this shouldn't be possible? Am I right in thinking it's a case of connecting the two routers via ethernet and setting up the Belkin as an AP only and giving it a static IP?
How do I connect two Linksys RV082 routers when one router is on the 16th floor of a building and the 2nd one is in the LG (lower ground).
Both routers should connect wherein the DHCP of the other router is off.. and both routers have different ISP.
Or is transparent bridging applicable?and how?...
Thank you in advance.
It’s been a weird decade for Cisco. After being a dot-com darling in the late 90s (everyone wanted a few Cisco routers for their door-to-door pet food delivery services), the company tried its hand at consumer products with the Flip video camera series and, a little while later, Linksys routers.
I'm trying to force a strict NAT on a Linksys E2500, but I'm unsure how to do that. Normally with my old Linksys router, I would have to do some port forwarding to get an open NAT, however I didn't have to do that with this new one. It still has the option to port forward, DMZ, and all of that.
you can try logging Into your router by typing the routers IP address and check your wifi settings. I know on the linksys router I changed one of the 2 settings to wireless n instead of setting it to do a/b/g and then my wifi on statler was unable to work. I think the router at the Toyota dealership is the same way since my laptop can't connect to their router.
