I used Ubuntu 12.04. It's original support ethernet.
But after I downgrad kernel version to 126.96.36.199 .
The ethernet just doesn't work. What should I do to make
ethernet to work?Thanks
Hi, First of all I am happy user of Manjaro (before Archlinux ), and unskill user of English, so really sorry for languages mistakes. When I start Linux ( from 3.? - 3.18 ) the ethernet conncection work perfect, now i suspend and wake - work.
I just recently got my ethernet port to work by updating my kernel and installing the atheros drivers for it, but my wireless still does not work.I am using Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit. Here is my lshw -c network
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 on an old Dell Dimension 4600 that's like 15 years old. I got it for free and it came with an ethernet card that isn't working with the e100 module that arrived with Ubuntu by default.
I want to install Fedora on my computer with a netinstall, but it seems that the kernel doesn’t support my ethernet chip (Intel I218V). I tested Ubuntu 14.04 and Arch Linux and the ethernet chip worked (both have a newer kernel version).
