Now should I set my Static Public IP directly to my Linux machine? If so what whould be my sunbet mask? Is any type of natting required here?

I recently got my PI :) and decided to install arch linux and use it as a local webserver (command line only).

However, I got stuck trying to set it to a static IP address, as systemd doesn't seem to recognise rc.conf.

So my question is, how do I set the static IP address on arch linux on Raspberry Pi using systemd?

I am configuring ipv6 static route by using netlink socket. Its configuring in linux and displayed when I am using netstat command. But static routes are not displaying by using "ip -6 route" command. I am using fedora 14-2.6.35.

I have updated iproute2-2.6.37, even static routes are not displaying.

From the section 2.7 of the book - The Linux programing Interfacenamed Process memory layout :

Data is defined as the

static variables used by the program.

What is the significance of the word static here ? I am aware of what static variables are in Java but I can not relate that meaning in this context .
