I have a Linksys WAG320N Wireless N router and a Belkin Wireless N router. The Linksys is acting as a modem and DHCP server, and I want to set up the Belkin as an AP. Is there any reason this shouldn't be possible? Am I right in thinking it's a case of connecting the two routers via ethernet and setting up the Belkin as an AP only and giving it a static IP?
How do I connect two Linksys RV082 routers when one router is on the 16th floor of a building and the 2nd one is in the LG (lower ground).
Both routers should connect wherein the DHCP of the other router is off.. and both routers have different ISP.
Or is transparent bridging applicable?and how?...
Thank you in advance.

I have a network at a small office (about 15 employees) that is often going down briefly or becomes impossible for certain computer to join unless the whole router is restarted. I am thinking of upgrading to a more small business like setup.
I would prefer to have most people wired and our dinky home cisco router is full, so I think we will be needing/wanting a switch and wireless router combo.

While I was doing research on wireless connection limits, I stumbled upon this question. Zypher's answer seems to suggest connection capacity benefits of wireless access points over wireless routers. Is there actually a connection capacity benefit to using a pure access point?
Hi guys.
I don't know much about wireless, so here is a question for you all.
I recently moved to a new place, which is cool. Unfortunately the modem sits in one end of the apartment and the office is at the opposite end, and routing an Ethernet cable is pretty tricky since I rent and can't really drill holes in the wall.
I dont know how to install backports! I have tried everything to get my usb adapter to connect but it still dosent recognize my home network! How do I install backports and headers? (ubuntu 10.04 amd 64)

I have a Dell 1210 (mini-12) that originally ran Ubuntu 8.04+LTS.
Broadcom BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY wireless internet adapter.
I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 to try to solve the following problem,
but the problem still occurs.
The computer easily connects to wireless routers without passwords.
If there is a password, however, it comes up
"Authentication required by wireless network."
