LG has officially unveiled its latest mid-range device— the Optimus F5 smartphone. Sandwiched in between devices such as the Optimum G (Pro) and the Optimus L9 series, the Optimus F5 arrives with modest features such as a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch IPS display, 2,150mAh battery and Android 4.1.2 running the show.

LG certainly has lofty sales goals for 2013– and it appears that its Optimus G smartphone sales are certainly helping the Korean brand achieve those goals. According to Korean news agency Yonhap, LG has sold 1 million smartphones since its original launch late last year— despite not being available in China and Europe yet.
LG’s Optimus G might not have gotten the same attention as the Nexus 4, but it’s the cream of LG’s 2012 crop. And to that end, the company has just announced that it will roll out the Optimus G smartphone globally to ove 50 new countries in the coming months.
Back in November, the Optimus G landed in the states, along with Canada, Korea and Japan.
