Hello friends,
I recently installed libreoffice from the .tar file. It installaled correclty but when i click on any of the application of libreoffice(LibreOffice Writer), it doesnt start. Sometimes it shows that JavaRuntime Required.
I read the same thing in the Readme File in the libreoffice .tar file.
Strange...My computer crashed after an electrial outage. When I got it up again I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04. Then I tried to install LibreOffice. I removed OpenOffice, as required, and took the steps necessary to install it. Steps that I have taken a few times before.
Hello, please excuse my bad english.I have a problem. Since the libreoffice update from 3.5.6 to 3.6.1.4 libreoffice don't start. For a short time i see the splash-screen and that's it. In the terminal, when i type soffice or lowriter or libreoffice --writer i can't see any message. Also i deleted the ~/.config/libreoffice folder. But that doesn't help.
I'm having a weird problem with Ubuntu: I un-installed libreoffice-common and its dependencies with synaptic and cannot reinstall it. It's missing libreoffice-stype-default which is nowhere to be found.
I currently Have ubuntu 10.04 installed with the latest version of LibreOffice installed.
Before I use to work in Windows 7 and MS Office 2007. Most if not all of my documents is in Word and Excel format.
Now I am in LibreOffice, and know about the small conversion changes, when opening up a document created in Word in LibreOffice writer.
the one problem I have it the rendering.
ok, so after some update a few days ago, apt-get is dead.
I get this:
Code:
the-nessus@thenessus-Inspiron-N3010:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
Hello, I don't want either LibreOffice or Abiword on one of my Ubuntu (12.04) boxes. When I try to uninstall LibreOffice then apt-get automatically installs Abiword. Of course, Synaptic and Aptitude do the same, while dpkg simply refuses to remove several core LibreOffice packages because of certain ridiculous dependencies based off Gnome. This just doesn't seem right.
This is my second install ever (firefox went smooth). This is happening:
DELETED USER NAME:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
I am using ubuntu12.04 and the xfce4.6.
Now I remove the libreoffice through the Ubuntu Software Center, however it seems that it is not removed completely.
Since I can find the libreoffice item at the menu Application-Office-LIbreOffice,also I can run the libreoffice command in the terminal.
