I'm trying to run GCCG (a multiplatform implementation of a card game engine) on my Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64, but I always get the following error:
./ccg_client: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Of course I thought the library was missed and I tried to install using apt-get, but I realized it was already installed.

I am trying to install php from remi repo, with nginx.
I am getting this error:
Error: Package: php-gd-5.4.13-1.el6.remi.x86_64 (remi)
Requires: libjpeg.so.62(LIBJPEG_6.2)(64bit)
I tried to install latest libjpeg via rpm, libjpeg-turbo and devel but nothing helps.
yum list libjpeg:
libjpeg.i686 6b-46.el6 @base
libjpeg.x86_64
ive been installing mapserver umn on my server, all has gone well except for the actual mapserv install.
sudo ./configure --with-proj --with-gdal --with-ogr
then
sudo make
to test I do ./mapserv
and it returns the error
I am new to linux. I am using fedora f16 x86_64. I was using terminal from root and used yum to install some packages. I also wanted to reinstall the libjpeg package. I used yum erase libjpeg but deleted 300 other files/packages along with libjpeg. I then used yum install libjpeg.
The yum history shows only 1 package installed and 300 erased.
The Independent JPEG Group released version 7 of their jpeg library Independent JPEG Group
I downloaded a prebuild binary (alien arena) that was dynamically linked to the newer libjpeg.so.7 witch is not available at the SUSE reposetories, I'm cautious about doing ./configure & make install from the jpegsrc.v7.tar.gz
Keep getting the same issue. I would prefer to just upgrade via cd b/c console always gives me trouble on updates.
I've tried the following
Code:
do-release-upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
aptitude full-upgrade
All come with an error on exit status 1.
The aptitude upgrade gave me:
Code:
E: Could not perform immediate configuration on 'libjpeg-dev'.
