Liberated Pixel Cup is a two-part competition by Creative Commons, Mozilla, OpenGameArt and the Free Software Foundation.
Phase one of the contest includes making awesome free culture licensed artwork, and phase two includes programming a bunch of free software games that uses the artwork created in phase one.
The first phase has been concluded and winners have been announced.

Google has announced its new Chromebook Pixel lineup a couple of weeks ago and it seems that Linus Torvalds is a big fan of the small notebook.
