I bought my SGP 5 from someone on craigslist and want to know how to find out if I have the US or International version of the device. My model number is YP-G70. I want to know since some of the ROMs/kernels are model specific. Also, what ROMs/kernels do you guys recommend for this device?

So I've found this forum pretty intimidating because certain roms require certain kernels and the root method for my phone didn't supply such kernel.

What I'd like to know:
Safest recovery for flashing most roms.
What roms am I able to flash with this recovery.
I recently flashed from clean rom to paranoid and lost my imei. After doing some researech was able to get both imei and eri restored.
Hi Guys I have My NEO V About a month now It was amazing till I found out about this Custom **** roms and Kernels So I Rooted My Phone After 5 time Fails Now I have 3 kind of kernels and 3 custom Roms but non of theme works And my phone doesn't have android for a week now I do every steps of fast boot and installing and wipes But when I rest My phone Nothing Happens !!!!

I've tried the sticky at the beginning of this forum as well as a plethora of other methods. Lost count of how many times I had to restore my phone to factory defaults.
I think where I went wrong was after buying the phone in April or May, I accepted one of AT&T's software updates.
Can anyome please help me with this?

I am trying to learn how to install ROMS on this phone, because a friend of mine has an LG Optimus 3D and he would like to "make his phone better", and so I emidiatly tought "flash a ROM". But he doesnt know how to do it, but I have some experience because I have a Xperia X10 and I have flashed a lot of ROMs. So I know the basic, like wat is a Kernel, xRecovery, etc.
After experimenting trying to get different ROMs and kernels to work on my Evo V I may have borked my wifi and 4g in the process. Neither work anymore and the phone is just not acting right ever since. So I called VM and they are sending me a replacement phone. This time I will only be rooting the phone and thats it. I am leaving the stock ROM on there and not changing it at all.
