LG to launch Optimus G in India in February

LG Optimus G will arrive with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro mobile processor and will feature a 13 megapixel camera at the back.

LG in India will be announcing the launch of its quad core processor based the Optimus 4X in the days to come.

LG is preparing to launch its first quad core smartphone - Optimus 4X HD with 720p HD display in India.

ZTE, whose website proclaims is the world’s 4th largest manufacturer, announced the cheapest quad-core smartphone yet. The ZTE U950 packs a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM but its most impressive spec is the 999 yuan price (approximately $160 USD). The low-priced Android device comes with a 4.3-inch display and is only 9mm-thick.

Sprint is going to be offering LG’s new Optimus G this fall. The smartphone is LG’s flagship Android device, and has the specs to own that role, with a Quad-Core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor and 4.7-inch, 1280 x 768 pixel display.

AT&T has just announced that it’s version of the LG Optimus G will be available starting November 2. But for those who need no physical introduction to make purchasing decisions, pre-orders begin tomorrow.

LG’s new top-tier Optimus G certainly looks like a contender on paper — its 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, and LTE support make sure of that — but one thing the company hasn’t been willing to talk about so far is U.S. availability. But it seems the company has just become just a bit more chatty.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is a high end, large screen device, and the first LG phone to use a quad core processor.
