I’ve just install gOS Linux in my Windows XP machine using VirtuallBox. Like always, after finish installing the OS, I continue to install VirtualBox Guest Addition on my fresh gOS. At the first try, I had an error message telling me that building Virtual Box Guest Addition failed.
Background
I have a lab setup in which the guest OS uses postfix as an MTA. Now my host is connected to a Terminal server which for now is on LAN (A lab). Guest has different servers which are needed for authentication, authorization, communication, scheduling...The only thing can't work is MTA because guest is bridged to LAN card.
Hyper-V internal switch and VM OS interfacing with Guest OS and IP Cofiguration
When configuring hyper-v internal switch, Apart from physical lan adapter (say adapter 1), I see another LAN adapter (say adapter 2) added in host os.
This tutorial will guide you to install Guest Additions in Kubuntu 10.04. I was installed Kubuntu 10.04 on my Windows 7 via Virtualbox. So far everything is running well. After all, I need to install the VirtualBox Guest Additions on my Kubuntu 10.04 in order to get full screen resolution and other benefits.
Hi there,Have setup a CentOS 6.3 KVM server (host) but my guest (same distro) can't access the internet. The host can ping the guest, other servers on the LAN and 8.8.8.... [by JackStone]
I would like to set up a guest account on my Ubuntu so that anyone could log in (no password) and browse the Internet. But the guest user should not be able to modify desktop configuration (remove desktop icons, change theme, and so on).
Is it possible? On one hand I need write permissions (browser cache), on the other - if write permissions to home dir are given, anything may get broken.
