Hello, I have a Lenovo B575 laptop with a strange problem with the wireless. When I boot to a Fedora live cd the wireless works just fine. However after the install the wireless card is disabled. Airplane mode is turned on and can't be switched off. I've verified that the card is enabled in the BIOS.
I've done some research about adding an entry to the modprobe.d in this thread.
MY galaxy s2 has problems with powering off every now and then. it was really bad at one point where all it was doing is turning on and rebooting right after. i had a custom rom for months and never had problems until yesterday. i couldnt go on recovery mode because it would always restart every five seconds.
so I have an old toshiba laptop (which used to be windows vista but I upgraded it to windows 7) and it is core2duo and the wireless card is intel(R) wireless wifi link 4965agn, which works really well.
I bought a new laptop recently which is made by lenovo, windows 8 touch screen, 8GB RAM and i7. However, the wireless card SUCKS. It can't connect to anything at all.
What is the max clock speed of the DDR3 that the x230 can run. I don't see it on Lenovo.com. Is it 1866mhz or 1600mhz? I see they don't sell 1866mhz as an upgrade, but I don't believe that means it won't work.
I'm having problems connecting an external monitor (LG flatron EB2442) to Lenovo X230. Unfortunately I don't have much time to properly research this; however, doing a quick search on google and this forum didn't return much of relevance to my situation.
I tried using both VGA and miniDP connectors to no avail -- the screen remains black.
