Sorry for digging up, but does anyone knows the answer to this problem?I am experiencing the same with Slim:* When I'm using my default laptop monitor, Slim's resolution is the monitor's native but,* When I'm using my external monitor (through hdmi), Slim's resolution isn't the native. Thanks

Hmm tried xdpyinfo, but it just shows information about the virtual screen combined from both monitors connected..Anyway, I found out my monitor is a Philips 190SW8 (19'')... well it worked with it's correct 1440x900 resolution before the latest kernel..As this is clearly driver related... can someone file this as a bug for the kernel or something like that?
Sorry to bother you again i hope this is the last time ^^Can you please give me the output of the following commands?$ dmesg$ lsmod$ cat /proc/fb$ pacman -Q | grep xf86-video$ lspci -vvvv$ uname -aThat should be enough information for me to figure out, what's wrong with my setup.I just tried an external monitor and after the screen flickers away on the macbook the external display got activat
This is the intended behavior for gnome3. If there is a external monitor detected, it will not suspend on lid close. I never really found a way around it...other than to not use gnome3.
