I need an easy step by step tutorial to install and configure OpenLDAP server.
Please help! I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.
The Official documentation is complicated. I need a GUI application if there is a one.
We have just built a new server so all services need transferring over to the new server. I have been having trouble finding a good tutorial for doing this with openldap. Does anybody know a good method or tutorial for moving an existing ldap server from one to another.
the old server is running ubuntu 8.04LTS and the new one ubuntu 10.04 lts
I've been asked to setup a multimaster LDAP environment on Ubuntu 11.04 - instead of a single master server. I cloned the master server and recreated it into two VMs. I am trying to follow the instructions on the OpenLDAP documentation here:
I want to configure LDAP auth in DB2. From IBM docs I learned that first I need to configure LDAP authentication in operating system. But in documentation described old way of configuring LDAP for Operating system. RedHat recommends to use only new SSSD tool.
So, I configured it using SSSD (but without SSL, setting FORCELEGACY parameter in authconfig file to YES).
This is a nice and easy to follow tutorial on how to install VNC Server on Ubuntu. VNC Server is a client-server application that enable us to share our Ubuntu desktop with others running Linux or Windows OS. You can then control or view the remote computer server from any client. It’s a smart application [...]
I've been migrating some servers and desktops using Ubuntu 10.04 from getting the users from an old OpenLDAP implementation to a newer Centos Active Directory. I haven't had any problems so far, until I reached a Debian Lenny server.
I've set up the server as the others, setting /etc/ldap.conf and /etc/ldap/ldap.conf.
I manage a group of 4 desktop computers for a local youth group. The computers are really old and becoming unusable but our budget cannot stretch to replace them all. Instead I have decided to use second hand parts to build a single server with a quad output graphics card and set up Ubuntu as a multiseat server.
Does anyone have any simple step-by-step instructions on how to do this.
