http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi all, Using Fedora 11, KDE 4.3 RC1, 32-bit, NVidia driver. Just booted up for the first time since installing the Fedora repo updates last night, and can't get to my desktop. I log in OK, but then the ""KDE Crash Handler" opens up with: Quote: Executable: plasma-desktop PID: 7225 Signal: 11 (segmentation fault) (the PID varies each time) and also the "KDE Wallet Service" box pops up asking me for my password. I've tried all the login options "KDE failsafe" etc but the same thing happens. I can log into the Desktop using the root account, but then I have no wireless connection (and I only have access to a wireless connection where I am right now..). Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this? Best regards to all, itsjustarumour (HowTos)

I upgraded to 11.3 from 11.2, and when I start system, after login to desktop. See the desktop a moment, the plasma-desktop crashed, the screen become black.

It's luck to I install "Yakuake", and let start with system start. So, I run "kstart plasma-desktop" in terminal, see below:

my netbook shares it's wireless connection to my desktop. i've done this through the gui (edit connections > eth0 > ipv4 settings > shared to others) and it has worked for the last i don't know how many months

Hi, Yesterday I updated OpenSUSE 11.2 w KDE ver.4.3.1 release 6 (the system was update K3b). Today I turn on my laptop, after login the Desktop-plasma just crashed, desktop stayed black. I'm stuck when it tells me to go to "System -> Administration". I have Unity desktop - maybe that's not written for Unity desktop - I can find the System Settings OK but there's no "Administration" and no "Drivers"...

Hello everyone.:) I installed Ubuntu 10.04 amd64. I cannot connect via wireless. When I left clink on the "wireless" icon on desktop, not reading any wireless spots. I have RaLink RT3090 PCIe for wireless card. Then I uninstalled Ubuntu 10.04.
