I upgraded to 11.3 from 11.2, and when I start system, after login to desktop.
See the desktop a moment, the plasma-desktop crashed, the screen become black.
It's luck to I install "Yakuake", and let start with system start. So, I run "kstart plasma-desktop" in terminal, see below:
my netbook shares it's wireless connection to my desktop. i've done this through the gui (edit connections > eth0 > ipv4 settings > shared to others) and it has worked for the last i don't know how many months

Yesterday I updated OpenSUSE 11.2 w KDE ver.4.3.1 release 6 (the system was update K3b). Today I turn on
my laptop, after login the Desktop-plasma just crashed, desktop stayed black.
After I press CTRL+ALT+DEL and appear window to Log off, restart and shutdown.
I turn on again openSUSE in Failsafe and again desktop-plasm crashed. Help,

Hello everyone.:) I installed Ubuntu 10.04 amd64. I cannot connect via wireless. When I left clink on the "wireless" icon on desktop, not reading any wireless spots. I have RaLink RT3090 PCIe for wireless card. Then I uninstalled Ubuntu 10.04.
Next I tried running Live CD (quicker than installing) of Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Alpha3.
my laptop get a 40% signal
my old desktop gets a 55-65% signal
laptop works flawlessly over wifi at the same location while desktop gets 16% loss (ping test [100 count] )
the desktop has a "Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller" with a huge linksys logo on the PCI card
it has these 3 packages installed for wifi
