I'm running LAMP server and I can't make it accept GET request from external source. Is there a way how to allow it? I don't know if the problem can be in server configuration...

We have an Ubuntu 10.04 LAMP server running on site (Apache is on port 80). It is running fine through the LAN, but I cannot access it using its external IP address through the Netopia 3000 Series modem by which it is connected to the internet.
I have a server (Windows server), which is in a private network. I need to connect to other VPN from another enterprise and access to a private URL of the other enterprise, but when I try to access that IP (10.-.-.-) the server can't reach it.
I've got MySQL Connector/ODBC 5.1 installed on my Windows Vista laptop. I have MySQL 5.5.19 installed on the laptop, and was able to connect to it via the Windows Data Source Administrator app and the MySQL Connector/ODBC using a TCP/IP connection to 'localhost'.
