I have installed fedora as virtual machine on my windows, then installed LAMP. then put joomla inside /var/www/html - which worked fine and i can see the website running.
how do i access the site under windows? considering they work on the same subnet.
i tried putting the IP of the virtualized fedora on my browser but it doesnt seem to load the apache files.

Wish to get some tips on setting up LAMP server on F17. I have been using Fedora 8 as LAMP and Samba servers for years, in fact the box is still running fine after the initial setup it took 5 years ago.
Lately I wanted to try LAMP on F17, it looks like my LAMP is working as phpMyAdmin is working fine as well as "phpinfo" page.
i have set up a LAMP on my Fedora 18 using these instructions: http://www.howtoforge.com/installing...fedora-18-lamp
how ever when I attempt to bring up the Apache2 placeholder page from my ip address or localhost it is just blank.
Any suggestions?
I'm trying to setup a couple of Virtual Host files on my Localhost PC running Fedora Core 15.
Now I get this working, but now onloy one Virtual Host site works, and if I type in 127.0.0.1/test/testApp.php which is not related to the Virtual Host site , I get redirected to the Virtual Host site.
Here's what I did.
I created a new folder called virtualhosts in /etc/httpd/ where all my host files

I am trying to set up a LAMP stack on my desktop, mostly for development purposes. I followed the instruction in the LAMP page in the wiki to the letter: checked that the http user existed, fixed the http.conf and rc.conf files, started the http server. When I try to connect to localhost, however, instead of the usual Apache page I get a " "Could not connect" message.
