Anyone know of a debian repository that has Kwin with the GL extensions? The current has Kwin, but now Kwin-GL or Kwin-GLES. I'm using Kwin right now, but I can't get OpenGL renderer working.-JD
I've just installed some new NVIDIA drivers, not using the package manager, because those don't work, and am now getting constant crashes of KWIN every time the machine comes out of any sort of sleep state.
I can usually get it back by killing kwin from another session and the kwin --replace, but its a total pain in the neck.
There is a thread at https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...=kwin+
With the new X11 packages in slackware-current, X11 starts but KDE's window manager kwin fails to start.
Apparently, the current kwin binary is expecting a libxcb-sync.so.0 symlink that is no longer created.
So either kwin must be rebuild or add this symlink to libxcb-sync.so.1.0.0.
Phoronix: KWin 5 Is Now "Stable" With Good Functionality
The KDE KWin maintainer, Martin Gräßlin, has announced today that the KWin 5 code is in good shape, he's using it for day-to-day use, and will now begin accepting bug reports on the window manager that supports Qt5...
This is weird but in 4 or 5 reboots of openSUSE 11.2 64 kwin effects are disabled :|
It says that kwin composite have been disabled by another program.
Of course I can enable it but it's annoying...
I have HP DV6 laptop with ATI Radeon HD4530 and property drivers.
I'm working on this small KDE plasmoid and I really like the QtQuick/QML, but now I have this requirement.
I need to do an action when a window is shown or closed in KDE.
