Hey, I've been using cb for a while on my netbook, but few days back my network connection icon dissapeared and I am only able to connect to internet via cable.
A couple of weeks ago, I installed kubuntu 10.10 on my laptop and my wireless card has not worked ever since. It was fine under 10.04.
Hi,
I am fairly new to linux and installed Kubuntu yesterday. Since my installation, I've been unable to see my private wireless network but I can see others. I tried going to many forums but wasn't able to find something that matched my needs.
Yet another DHCP problem.
Ubuntu 10.04 can not detect my wireless connection.
I don't know anything about this subject.
I am using :
Linux lucas05-desktop 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 07:54:58 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
lucas@lucas05-desktop:~$ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
Hey guys i'm trying to use the airodump-ng but it is saying the following,
bstrawt@pan:~$ sudo airodump-ng mon0
Interface mon0:
ioctl(SIOCGIFINDEX) failed: No such device
instead of me having a wlan0 it says i have a eth1 as an adapter. I am using wifi from my laptop and confused why it is saying i have eth rather than wlan.
when i run
iwconfig
it say's lo and eth0 have no wireless extensions, but wlan0 it says
IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=off
Retry long limit:7 RTS the:off Fragment the:off
Power Management:off
and I believe that's my problem, I just don't know how to turn it back on
any help?
