I am using Fedora 17 KDE.
When I play music in Amarok using the Gstreamer backend, playback will simply stop ever 30 to 90 minutes and not resume until I click Next Track. Pressing Pause or Stop and then Play doesn't do anything.
When I use the VLC backend, sound will be terribly distorted and scratchy for 20 to 60 seconds after the computer was started and then continue to play normally.
Hi everyone, my apologies if this is in the wrong forum (I'm new here). I had flashed my Samsung Focus 1.3 with the Clean Rom 3.05 (WP 7.8) yesterday without any issues. However, today when I tried streaming music to the car using Bluetooth, I noticed some sound distortion.
I'm trying to run Starcraft through Wine. The sound is all distorted, as if it were playing underwater. Then, about 10 minutes into the game the sound is perfect for 1-2 seconds. Then, there's no sound at all.
I have another sound issue which might give a hint. If I'm playing a video on YouTube, and I open vlc to play a movie, the movie will have no sound.
I've just finished installing 11.2, and as far as I understand, I've configured my sound card (Audigy 2 ZS)...at least I do have system sounds. I attempted to use Amarok to stream audio over my cable connection (3.3Mbps). I enabled everything that I could find in the sound mixer and unmuted all, but I still get no streaming audio, even though Amarok indicates that it is receiving the station.
I have a Bell SGH-i747 rooted with Paranoid Android 4.1.2, no over/underclocks Crystal 2 theme installed. It seems like (I think) I've narrowed the culprit to Voxer, after using that app, anytime I try and make a normal call...everything is extremely distorted. I can fix this with a reboot. Is there another alternative to rebooting? Something like a Pulse Audio Reset option?
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else has this issue, I'm running CM10 and the music quality isn't too bad while running the headphone jack to speakers, ie my car, home. But when I plug my headphones and and try to play with DSP at all it always sounds distorted and sound like the headphones are blown, this only happens after I enable something with DSP, the headphones are fine.
I am running Suse 11.2 on a MacPro. I have configured my SoundSticks to be the preferred device in Yast:Sound. I have left the 631xESB/632xESB High Definition Audio Controller and a Logitech USB Headset "Not configured" so that the SoundSticks are at index 0 and are the only configured sound device.
It took me a long time to figure out, but I realized that some of my sound files were playing very quietly, and some normally. All of my sound levels are set correctly (I tried multiple mixer programs). Finally I realized that it is all the mono sound files that are playing so quietly while stereo ones are playing normally.
If a KDE app is using sound, no other applications can use the sound.
For example:
If I log in to KDE, and watch a video on youtube then start amarok, the youtube audio stops. No other applications can use the audio until amarok is closed. Any ideas?
