I can not find the drivers for my Wireless hardware. I have a compaq presario cq57, with rtl8912ce realtek wireless adapter. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Just got a new compaq presario cq57. I've been trying all day to get the wireless working. So far i've come up with pretty much no results. i've gotten ndiswrapper and the driver for my card, and it recognizes the hardware, but the wireless card is still coming up unclaimed. I've been reading every post and how-to guide i've come across, but they haven't gotten me anywhere.
I am setting up a server for the first time and I am doing this in my old Compaq Presario a900 notebook.
To do that, I installed Windows Server 2008 in order to install a team system foundation server on top of it.
I have a Compaq Presario 2100. I recently upgraded to 12.04 and my wireless will detect but wont connect. I have the Wireless Driver and Ndis wrapper installed and when I go to search for Drivers it dosent find any. Im new to Ubuntu and hope to get some help with this issue. Thanks
I have a Compaq Presario CQ43 laptop with Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS. Recently I unexpectedly lost my wireless connectivity capabilities. When I go to the upper right corner of the screen I try to enable the Wireless NIC but it is gray out. Therefore I'm not able to be wireless connected. Any idea or technicall approach that I can take to resolve this is issue will be greatly appreciated.
I have installed Kubuntu 12.04 on my Win. XP machine which works awesome for my kids computer. I am using a Dlink DWA-131 nano usb wireless adapter and can only get 72mps; when on windows I would 130mps.
I was able to get my wireless adapter to run by following the advice of this forum and this link.
I am currently using 11.10 on my Compaq Presario V3130 machine. When recently I tried to use wireless on my laptop i found that it is not working as the option of "Enable Wireless" is not highlighted in the network manager. My wifi switch is on and earlier I had used wifi with 11.04. Please help on this as don't know much about Ubuntu.
