Hey there!!
I recently switched from Ubuntu 12.04 to Kubuntu 12.04 - In doing so, some of my fn keys fail to work and some partially do.
The wireless keys work even though there is no notification, and the light that should switch on doesn't.
keyboard keys do not work, except the letter t. How do I unlock the keyboard keys? I am not familiar with kubuntu.
I have a desktop system with Kubuntu 10.10 and Windows 7. Kubuntu used to be my main system, but in the last year I worked a lot with Windows (only used Linux on my laptop). Today I accidentally told Grub to start Kubuntu 10.10 (which is still the default OS). I soon restarted and switched back to Windows 7.
My mouse is not working properly, So I enabled keyboard keys for Moving mouse arrow using
Universal Access > Pointing and Clicking > Mouse keys "On"
But Mouse Arrow moves very Slow using keyboard Keys. I want to move it in normal way as I move mouse, using keyboard keys(Numlock keys 2,4,6,8). How to solve this ?
Hi all,
So i've recently installed Kubuntu 13.04 on my Vivobook V300 and i've just noticed a strange bug with my keyboard brightness FN keys. If I use the Brightness Down button it works as expected, however if I use the Brightness Up key it seems to scroll through 3 different brightness levels before returning to the first and repeating the process.
hi
On my laptop, multimedia keys are accessible via the function keys by pressing an extra Fn button
On my wireless keyboard, the FUNCTION keys are acccessible via the MULTI MEDIA KEYS... by pressing an extra Fn button.. &$#*&$*#lAAARGGGG
How can I swap these around? I tried xmodmap but that doesn't seem to preserve keyboard shortcuts that I assigned in KDE.
I have a wireless keyboard with touchpad
However the position of the mouse buttons is very unconfortable and so I would like to remap the mouse button to some kes on the keyboard.
When I was using a comfort curve keyboard which had media keys, those keys worked
as media keys in X ( with different users), in single-user mode and in multiuser-mode without X.
Then I switched to an RK-9000, which is a quite excellent keyboard but has no media keys. ;...(
But there are a few keys I never use. Scroll lock comes to mind as well as pause.
With Kubuntu, each time I try to start up the system, after the splash screen and the graphical screen comes into place, the screen keeps on flashing, like it is trying to redo the last process. A lot of the times when I move the mouse, it goes right back to the middle of the screen by the time one or two flashes pass by. Is there anything I can do to stop it from doing that?
