Hi there!
I'm just trying out Kubuntu on a portable install.
I'm having problem with my PC. for some reason my os & bios does not recognize the memory correctly. it used to recognize it though. I have 12gb but only 8gb recognized. I have rampage III motherboard which supports up to 24gb.
I use CPU-Z to verify it, and it shows 12gb for the memory. any ideas?
TIA
I've just gotten myself a Lenovo laptop, which came with Windows 7 preinstalled (no surprise there). I've installed Kubuntu on quite a few systems before, but this one poses a new problem for me.

im just starting out with kubuntu 12.04 after using ubuntu for a while. as a side note first, ubuntu is described as "training wheels for linux" and after trying kubuntu for just a few days i have to say that ubuntu is more like a tricycle and kubuntu is like training wheels. what i am trying to find out is if there is a way to get voice command abilities for kubuntu.
