[kubuntu] fglrx/Catalyst not working in Quantal

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I just upgraded to quantal and installed the Catalyst 12.8. fglrxinfo now gives me this: Code: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)   Major opcode of failed request:  153 (GLX)   Minor opcode of failed request:  19 (X_GLXQueryServerString)   Serial number of failed request:  12   Current serial number in output stream:  12 Same with Catalyst 12.9 Beta I have a Radeon 5870 and I'm on quantal with 3.5 64 bit (Hardware)

Everytime I have to update xserver, I check the ati webpage for the lastest version of Ati drivers, and after updating I go to recovery mode and install the driver.

But this time my method failed, after updating and installing I get this error when I run 'glxinfo':

I have the latest Nexuiz 252 and whenever I set the resolution to 1920x1200 the game exits and this is the error message I get.

fglrx problem 50 weeks 5 days ago

I have just installed fglrx-driver, but it is not working correctly. I'm running the most recent backport version of crunchbang and i have an ATI hd3200 (mobility) graphics card.

I followed the instructions on ATI - openSUSE The command line way , tried the one-click install before too and the same thing happened.... opensuse11.1
