The last 2 days the internet connection fails, or shuts down, on my laptop when downloading some stuff from the internet.
I don't know if this could be a lead but the last change I made to ubuntu was in "/etc/xdg/autostart/" where I changed in, "bluetooth-applet.desktop" and "tracker-miner-fs.desktop", the parameter NoDisplay from true to false.
ClassicMenu Indicator is a notification area applet (application indicator) for the top panel of Ubuntu’s Unity desktop environment. It provides a simple way

Have bluetooth dongle inserted into the back of my HP Ubuntu v8.10 laptop. The bluetooth icon is in the toolbar at the top of the screen. I am trying to pair with a serial (RS232) bluetooth adapter. When I right-click on the bluetooth icon to set preferences the device, I get the Bluetooth Applet v1.8 (bluez) preferences window.
Hi,
Having an annoying problem. The WiFi and Bluetooth icons are missing. I have tried to load nm-applet and I get the following.
** Message: applet now removed from the notification area
** Message: using fallback from indicator to GtkStatusIcon
I can still configure from the settings menu, but I would love to get nm-applet back.
Anyone have any suggestions.

Code:
