I'd like to set up iptables and set the default policy to drop connections that I don't manually whitelist. The problem is that I also run KTorrent, which connects to peers with random ports. Is there a way I can configure iptables to ignore any connections handled by KTorrent but block everything else?
Since I have installed the Mandriva Spring (2010.1), keeping my old /home partition, my Ktorrent doesn't work anymore. I have the message 'Unable to contact 127.0.0.1', and it can't can seed or leech anymore.
I ran it successfully with an another account. The problem comes just with mine.
I have Fedora 18 x86, KDE 4.9.5, 3.7.2-204 kernel.
I noticed that a new version of Ktorrent (4.3.1) has been released (for some
time) which solves a few bugs. But I don't see Ktorrent in repositories. So
should I wait for the new version to be available in Fedora updates or should I
compile and install this version like it says on their download page...?
