Dear All,
I am trying sync a google calendar to korganizer using the new libgcal and akonadi googledata packages.
First of all I should state that I am using the KDE packages from the following repository (KDE 4.3.3):
I have the akonadi-google resources working with Kontact. By using Google calender as the middle-man I am sync'ed from desktop to mobile. It's great but everytime I log out I have to manually start the akonadi-google resources when I log back in. They are off-line when akonadi starts them initially. Any ideas why?
June 10, 2011. KDE is proud to announce the release of the next generation Kontact Suite, based on the Akonadi framework. In addition to this, we are also proud to announce the June maintenance update of the KDE Software Compilation 4.6. Unsurprisingly, the port of Kontact to Akonadi is finally being released the same day as Duke Nukem Forever, making it relatively timely.

2-3 years back, Kontact was not an app that I would use. Now I see things got changed and that it has very huge set of tools and things. I must explore them.
However, I'd like to know can it be made to be in "sync" with my other computer over some web service or whatever?
Do some tablets have the Google Calendar options disabled?
My new no-name 'Cortex A9' tablet comes with Market and the usual Google Apps are seen on the home screen - but no Calendar.
With Google ending Google calendar sync how will that affect the dates and such stored in my calendar when I switch devices and what not? Will it no longer auto download them to my new calendar and such? With the Note 2 having its own calendar I uninstalled the Google one since I do not need two telling me about the dates and getting two notifications. Once I did that Calendar sync failed.
I created a calendar display using CalendarView xml tag.
Hi, I have an HTC Status running 2.3.3, and I generally only use it for texting. Recently I started using a few more features and set up an event on the calendar so that it would then sync and appear on my Google Calendar, which I have done several times before with no problems.
Then I realized that it did not sync, and in fact the last time it did sync was last November 2012 lol.
There is a new stable released . I know we have a git package in CCR but this seems to be a very good addition for the PIM stack for google users.http://www.progdan.cz/2012/04/akonadi-google-0-3-1
